National Service Scheme, which is a voluntary organization under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in India. It was launched in 1969 with the primary objective of developing the personality and character of students through community service. NSS in India serves as a platform for students to engage in meaningful community service, thereby contributing to national development while simultaneously fostering their personal growth and social responsibility.We have incorporated NSS at our college too.
The college promotes the participation of students in extension activities like NSS, NCC and NGOs. After the completion of admission process, newly admitted students are encouraged to join NSS and NCC considering their area of interest. NSS and NCC Officers counsel them and create awareness about the importance of NSS and NCC among the students.
Our NSS Unit has won Best NSS Unit Award in the recent past. For the ensuing academic year Prof. C. S. Naik is the NSS Programme Officer. NSS Unit undertakes following activities
